As far back as I can remember, I have always loved my friends...
Bros. Gal Pals. Squads. Bosom Buddies. Kindred Spirits. Frennies. People. No matter what you call them, I am a firm believer that we all need friends and these relationships add a rich layer of significant experiences and connections to our lives. Think about it: What would you do without your bestie?
Because I've always found friends important, I immerse myself in meaningful friendships and I embraces books, movies, TV shows, and podcasts that focus on our kindred spirits. In fact, my professional world also focuses on relationships! As a college professor, I teach students about the best way to approach and maintain relationships (including friendships) with a special emphasis on being happy, healthy, and safe. Additionally, I conduct research on problematic communication events in friendships as a way to understand the critical role friends play in conflict, decision making, and coping with stressors. I was reminded by a student how central friendships are to my life and that led me to start this podcast as a way to extend my ability to talk about friends.
So, the goal of this podcast, then, is to LOVE ON OUR FRIENDSHIPS! I will share amazing stories of friendship (including your stories), analyze great friendships from the media, and discuss topics relevant to having the best friendships we can possibly have! Thanks for visiting and listening!
Peace, Love, & Friends,
